🖥️ Pick the exact screen or window
Choose screen now opens a real picker with live thumbnails of every display and every open window. Click the one you actually want to record.
Pick the exact screen or window you want, get your voice and system audio in the same recording, and let the recorder get itself out of your own shot — automatically. Plus a screen-only mode and an optional second audio track.
A recorder that's finally ready for real use.
Choose screen now opens a real picker with live thumbnails of every display and every open window. Click the one you actually want to record.
Screen recordings now capture the sound coming out of your computer and your microphone in the same take, mixed automatically. Neither one silently disappears if you're using the other.
Press Record and the panel shrinks to a small bar — and on screen recordings, the Vistora window itself minimises — so neither one ends up inside your video. It waits until the last moment of the countdown, so you still see most of the count first.
A new fourth mode for when you don't want a camera in the frame at all: just your screen and your microphone, with no camera picker cluttering the panel.
An optional second audio track for your timeline, added only when you ask for it — from the Tools menu or by right-clicking the timeline. One track stays the default, since that's right for most edits.
The screen-and-camera preview monitor is now true 16:9, with the camera overlay sized the same way it appears in your finished recording — no more squashed frame.
The recorder went from working-in-theory to working.
Whatever you picked in the old picker, Vistora recorded the primary screen anyway. Recording one specific window was impossible.
Your microphone could be missing entirely from a finished screen recording, with no warning that anything had gone wrong.
Even with everything connected and ready, the Record button could stay disabled for no visible reason. It now checks whether recording can actually start, not an internal status label that could get out of sync.
Clicking Cancel in the recorder sometimes did nothing at all. It's now an immediate, two-step confirm — click once, then click again to discard.
The live camera preview used to disappear the moment you pressed Record. It now stays visible through the countdown and the whole take.
The live screen preview — a mirror of the screen being captured — could end up inside your exported recording. From the countdown onward, that preview layer is now dropped; only the camera overlay and a red recording border remain.
One-time setup. After that it's just another camera in the list.
